St Mary’s Church Bow invites local residents to help celebrate the completion of the church tower conservation work.

When: Saturday, 14 July, 2.30pm to 6pm

With the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund, the stonework has been cleaned and repaired, the clock refurbished and the cross regilded.

The celebration, open to all, will start with ringing the bells in the tower, then there will be tea and cake, a visit from the pearly queen, an old-fashioned sing-along, an interactive 3D artwork “The Story of the Stones”, a photo display of the works. And then Mayor John Biggs will cut the tower cake!
