We had a fantastic response to our Right Royal Big Bow Bake-off Competition, with lots of sweet treats for judging – and eating – at the Grove Hall Park Big Lunch on Sunday 12 June.<\/p>\n

Thanks to our judges and cake lovers Michael (aka the Carmelite Cafe’s own Beanbeard) and Ridgdale Street’s very own Vicki, who took their role very seriously indeed. Cake is a serious business!<\/p>\n

The judges said it was a tough decision but the ultimate winner was five year-old Maggie, who cooked up a storm with her Vanillicious cake. Mum Rachael says Maggie did the bulk of the baking herself, measuring and mixing… as you can see!\"Unknown\"<\/p>\n

Michael and Vicki said as well as tasting great, Maggie’s decorating skills edged her cake out in front of runners up Lucy & girls’ Union Jack cake and Jinny’s chocolate banana cake.<\/p>\n
