Following a\u00a0 community consultation last year, the council is extending parking controls in Baldock Street, Jebb Street, Ridgdale Street and Wrexham Road, starting this week.<\/p>\n

Parking will be resident permit holders only from 8.30am to 7.30pm Monday to Saturday, effective as soon as the new signs go up.<\/h3>\n

This compares with the old restrictions of 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday. So parking restrictions are two hours longer each weekday evening and there’s now controlled parking on Saturday too. Unrestricted parking will only be Sundays.<\/p>\n

Tower Hamlets Council says you do not need to make any changes to current permits, because these will remain valid.<\/p>\n

If you have visitors on Saturdays from now on , remember to arrange a visitor’s permit or they risk getting slapped with a fine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
