As usual we had an excellent array of amazing bakes in our competition at the Grove Hall Park Great Get-Together on Sunday 23 June.<\/p>\n

Judges Rachel Blake (Bow East councilor)\u00a0and Martin Coyle (cake lover) said they had an incredibly difficult task choosing a winner from the nine official entries, but Lucy Sutton’s<\/strong>\u00a0Gin & Tonic cake pipped the others to the post, winning her the Star Baker prize.\u00a0Lucy has kindly provided this link to the recipe on the Sainsbury’s website.<\/a><\/p>\n

Runners-up were Sofia, Becky and Sally’s Anti-Gravity Cake and Christina’s Tropical Apple Cake. But all of our\u00a0competitors were praised for their efforts, which were very much appreciated by\u00a0our hungry picnic attendees!<\/p>\n
