{"id":1699,"date":"2017-09-29T09:27:05","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T09:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1699"},"modified":"2017-09-29T09:27:05","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T09:27:05","slug":"lldc-says-no-to-cement-factory-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1699","title":{"rendered":"LLDC Says &#8220;No&#8221; To Cement Factory Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 26 September 2017 the London Legacy Development Corporation&#8217;s (LLDC)\u00a0planning committee voted unanimously to reject three applications to build concrete production and batching facilities at Bow East Goods Yard, right next to Queen Elizabeth Park.<\/p>\n<p>Hanan Maayan, a member of the community group, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opcrd.org\/\">Olympic Park Coalition for Responsible Development (OPCRD<\/a>), said the committee cited noise and design issues, but also said the plans didn&#8217;t fit with the changing nature of the area and its regeneration.<\/p>\n<p>Hanan said this was a massive achievement which undoubtedly would have failed,\u00a0 if not for strong community support.
