Transport for London (Tfl) wants your feedback about plans to change the bus network to support the opening of the Elizabeth Line (aka Crossrail) by making sure more people can access the new stations by bus. It will also increase services in the Royal Docks\u00a0Area where 25,000 new homes are going to be built.<\/p>\n

\nThe deadline for comments is Sunday 17 September 2017.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the biggest changes is a proposal to restructure route 25<\/strong>, so it runs less\u00a0frequently and the service ends at Holbourn Circus. It would run with buses every seven<\/strong> to eight<\/strong> minutes during Monday \u2013 Saturday daytimes and every 10<\/strong> minutes during evenings and Sundays. Route 25 currently runs between Ilford and Oxford Circus with buses every\u00a0six<\/strong> minutes. The logic for this is that it wants to improve reliability and because it thinks demand for this bus route will fall when the Elizabeth Line opens.<\/p>\n

TFL is also\u00a0proposing rerouting route 115<\/strong> between Commercial Road and Aldgate with two options:
\nOption one<\/span> is via Jubilee Street, Stepney Way, Sidney Street and Whitechapel Road in both directions.
\nOption two<\/span> is the same as option one but running via Stepney Way westbound only and Ashfield Street eastbound.<\/p>\n

These would provide new direct bus links between Limehouse and Whitechapel Station where there aren’t any at the moment. These options would also take account of the increased residential development in the Whitechapel area. Route 15 and 135 would continue to provide sufficient capacity on Commercial Road.<\/p>\n
