{"id":1285,"date":"2017-03-17T09:54:03","date_gmt":"2017-03-17T09:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1285"},"modified":"2017-03-17T09:54:03","modified_gmt":"2017-03-17T09:54:03","slug":"have-your-say-tfl-changes-at-bromley-by-bow-marshgate-lane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1285","title":{"rendered":"Have Your Say: Tfl Changes At Bromley-By-Bow &#038; Marshgate Lane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tfl is proposing\u00a0two major changes which it says will make it easier for people to cross both the A12 and Stratford High Street.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The consultation closes on 23 April 2017<br \/>\n<\/strong>You can see the plans and read more about the proposals at <a href=\"http:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/bromley-marshgate\">tfl.gov.uk\/bromley-marshgate<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At Bromley-By-Bow the proposals include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two signalised junctions on the A12, to the north of Bromley-by-Bow station to\u00a0provide access to proposed residential and commercial development to the east of the A12 (around Tesco)<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles travelling northbound on the A12 would be able to turn right to access these new developments directly, without having to make a u-turn at Bow roundabout<\/li>\n<li>A bus-only link across the A12\u00a0to\u00a0connect Bromley-by-Bow and new developments to the east<\/li>\n<li>Signalised crossings to replace\u00a0the subway at Three Mill Lane, and improvements to the subway at Bromley-by-Bow station<\/li>\n<li>A segregated cycle track on the east side of the A12 to help improve access to the local cycle network, including the Lea Valley Towpath and Cycle Superhighway 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At Marshgate Lane the plan is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new link road, connecting Marshgate Lane with Sugarhouse Lane and creating a four-arm junction with A118 Stratford High Street,\u00a0to allow buses, cyclists and pedestrians to cross the Bow Back River via a new bridge, improving access to Pudding Mill Lane station and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOWEVER&#8230;.<\/strong> in other news TFL has decided to shelve plans to redesign Bow Interchange and remove the roundabout and flyover, with a view to improving pedestrian and cycle access.
