{"id":1253,"date":"2017-02-09T13:07:40","date_gmt":"2017-02-09T13:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1253"},"modified":"2017-02-09T13:07:40","modified_gmt":"2017-02-09T13:07:40","slug":"fight-the-last-plan-standing-asphalt-plant-application-still-up-for-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1253","title":{"rendered":"Fight The Last Plan Standing &#8211; Asphalt Plant Application Still Up For Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plans to build an asphalt plant on the edge of the Olympic\u00a0Park \u00a0are still up for consideration by the London Legacy Development Corporation&#8217;s (LLDC) planning committee.<br \/>\nAccording to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opcrd.org\/\">Olympic Park Coalition for Responsible Development <\/a>spokesperson Hanan Maayan,\u00a0the\u00a0asphalt production plant, one\u00a0of the four initial applications, has &#8220;survived&#8221;\u00a0and is still standing for review despite the three concrete factory applications being withdrawn as a result of community opposition.<br \/>\nThe planning application is\u00a0for the building and operation of\u00a0a rail-served asphalt plant &#8220;with associated storage bays, weighbridges, weightbridge building\/control cabin, mess facilities, car and HGV parking and other ancillary structures&#8221; on\u00a0land at Bow East Goods Yard, Pudding Mill Lane (Newham).<br \/>\n&#8220;We need to prevent them from re-submitting the applications one by one, and fight this strategy of &#8216;dividing&#8217; the problem into smaller, harder to fight (publicly) chunks,&#8221; Hanan said.<br \/>\nHanan said the best way to help\/show your opposition\u00a0is to send an objection letter to <a href=\"mailto:planningenquiries@londonlegacy.co.uk\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">planningenquiries@londonlegacy.co.uk<\/span><\/u><\/a>.
