{"id":1203,"date":"2016-11-18T10:51:49","date_gmt":"2016-11-18T10:51:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1203"},"modified":"2016-11-18T10:51:49","modified_gmt":"2016-11-18T10:51:49","slug":"concrete-factory-near-olympic-park-november-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1203","title":{"rendered":"Concrete Factory Near Olympic Park &#8211; November Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently the London Legacy Development Corporation&#8217;s planning committee\u00a0WON&#8217;T be hearing the\u00a0proposal to build\u00a0 three\u00a0concrete factories and an asphalt plant at the edge of the Queen Elizabeth Park on 22 November.<\/p>\n<p>Perry Miller is\u00a0a member of the residents&#8217; group\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.opcrd.org\/\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Olympic Park Coalition for Responsible Development (OPCRD)<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0which is fighting the plans. He said the application has been pulled yet again and it&#8217;s not\u00a0clear if the committee will hear the application in December or if there will be further delays.<\/p>\n<p>Perry said that in the meantime, Network Rail has sent a letter\u00a0to the LLDC supporting the application. The letter, signed by Network Rail&#8217;s\u00a0 Freight &amp; National Passenger Operators\u00a0managing director\u00a0Paul McMahon,\u00a0says\u00a0that, if the committee refuses the application: &#8220;Network Rail\u2019s support for the regeneration agenda will be harder to justify.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We responded immediately,&#8221;\u00a0Perry said. &#8220;It looks like some rather tough conditions are being proposed by LLDC which must have riled the applicants and Network Rail.\u00a0&#8221; The letter and response will be posted on the ORCRD website soon.<\/p>\n<p>If approved, these plants\u00a0will run\u00a024 hours a day,\u00a0seven days a week, with an estimated 900 heavy vehicles coming and going daily.<\/p>\n<p>The full applications can be found on LLDC&#8217;s planning website at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/planningregister.londonlegacy.co.uk\/swift\/apas\/run\/wphappcriteria.display\" target=\"_blank\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">http:\/\/planningregister.londonlegacy.co.uk\/swift\/apas\/run\/wphappcriteria.display<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0: PA Refs: 15\/00368\/FUL \/ 15\/00400\/FUL \/ 15\/00414\/FUL \/ 16\/00194\/SCRES].<\/p>\n<p>If you want to give some extra support, the group has also\u00a0started the Olympic Legacy Protection Fund: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crowdfunder.co.uk\/olympic-legacy-protection-fund\" target=\"_blank\" data-pass-thru=\"true\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">http:\/\/www.crowdfunder.co.uk\/olympic-legacy-protection-fund<\/span><\/u><\/a>.
