{"id":1148,"date":"2016-10-05T10:27:53","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T10:27:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1148"},"modified":"2017-01-13T19:45:23","modified_gmt":"2017-01-13T19:45:23","slug":"concrete-factory-application-an-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcara.org.uk\/?p=1148","title":{"rendered":"Concrete Factory Application &#8211; An Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The proposal to build\u00a0 three\u00a0concrete factories and an asphalt plant at the edge of the Queen Elizabeth Park\u00a0\u00a0is apparently now on the list to go\u00a0 before the London Legacy Development Corporation&#8217;s (LLDC) planning committee on <strong>22 November<\/strong>, pushed back from 27 September.<\/p>\n<p>If approved, these plants\u00a0will run\u00a024 hours a day,\u00a0seven days a week, with an estimated 900 heavy vehicles coming and going daily.<\/p>\n<p>A petition set up by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opcrd.org\/\">Olympic Park Coalition for Responsible Development (OPCRD)<\/a> to oppose the\u00a0plans\u00a0has received more than 10,500 signatures, according to OPCRD member Perry Miller. It has now been\u00a0 submitted to the LLDC, so thanks to all those who signed up. You can still sign the petition, which will also be handed to the Mayor of London <span id=\"dscexpitem_884559071_5\">Sadiq Khan by Unmesh Desai AM,\u00a0\u00a0Assembly Member for City and East, representing constituents across Barking and Dagenham, City of\u00a0London, Tower Hamlets and\u00a0his home borough of Newham.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you want to give some extra support, the group has also\u00a0started the Olympic Legacy Protection Fund: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crowdfunder.co.uk\/olympic-legacy-protection-fund\" target=\"_blank\" data-pass-thru=\"true\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">http:\/\/www.crowdfunder.co.uk\/olympic-legacy-protection-fund<\/span><\/u><\/a>.
