Tower Hamlets Council has agreed to resurface Fairfield Road following complaints from residents and after the issue was raised by local councillors.<\/p>\n
For some time now residents living along \u00a0Fairfield Road have been complaining about the deteriorating condition \u00a0of the road exacerbated\u00a0by buses driving over the damaged highway and the noise that this has caused.<\/p>\n
Cllr Marc Francis has confirmed that an inspection has been carried out and that council officers have now raised an order for the stretch of highway at the south end of Fairfield Road (between Bow Road and the pedestrian crossing by Grove Hall Park) to be resurfaced. Three other parts of the road are being closely monitored and will be considered for works if funding can be identified.<\/p>\n
An update on the start date of the resurfacing will be provided once the street works notice is obtained and the works programmed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
